Confidently identify EF strengths and challenges, so that you can create personalized and effective treatment plans that address a student’s root needs.
The Caregiver/Teacher Observation Version (blue) is perfect for younger children and completed by parents or caregivers, teachers, coaches, tutors, and other professionals who have direct contact with the child.
Also available is The Self-Assessment Version (green): ideal for older kids, young adults, and adults who can provide insight into their own EF skills. Client/Student is intended to complete this themselves.
The Screener helps you quickly identify if a student needs further executive function evaluation. The Questionnaire allows you to examine a student’s executive function skills in more depth and detail, identifying specific areas of strength and need.

Customers are raving!
"Finally, we have a valuable and functional qualitative tool that fills the gap between an executive functioning need and what the need looks like in our daily lives. SEFF-Q presents an overview of the executive functioning system from root, leaves to flower skills; it also shows us where our students' most foundational needs are so that we can teach within their zone of proximal development."
–Agnes Hwang, SLP
"So here it goes (I'm a little obsessed): The SEFF-Q, developed by Tera Sumpter at Seeds of Learning, LLC, is an extraordinary tool that provides an in-depth, easy to understand explanation of Executive Function and all its intricacies. This improved questionnaire breaks down EF skills into Root, Leaf and Flower skills, giving a comprehensive view of each subset. Unlike standardized tests, which often lack reliability, the SEFF-Q pairs with an observational checklist to provide a more accurate and holistic picture of a person's EF abilities. The color- coded system makes it easy to spot potential weaknesses at a glance, while the research backing the framework adds credibility. This will become an essential resource for anyone looking to better understand and improve their students’ executive function skills."
–Jane Shomberg, SLP
"The SEFF-Q by Seeds of Learning, LLC, is EXACTLY the tool I have been searching for! It provides a straightforward, systematic and comprehensive way of making observations about executive functioning skills. As a longtime student of Tera Sumpter, the developer of the SEFF-Q, she has always emphasized the importance of looking for patterns of processing when we are determining how to best support individuals with executive functioning needs. This tool allows us to do exactly that by making it clear where likely areas of strength and challenge are observed. Teachers, professionals and parents have often expressed to me that the standardized tests and questionnaires out there are hard to understand and complicated to complete. The SEFF-Q is not like that at all! It takes all the overwhelm and guesswork out of the process of gathering important information."
